Jag \u00e4r svullen och har slappt skinn runt midjan. \u00c4ter inte mycket godis och \u00e4ter inte skr\u00e4pmat utan lagar riktig mat. N\u00e4r en kvinna haft sin sista menstruation, vilket brukar intr\u00e4ffa runt 50-\u00e5rs\u00e5ldern, b\u00f6rjar \u00f6strogenerna successivt sjunka under de f\u00f6ljande fem \u00e5ren och ligger sedan p\u00e5 samma l\u00e5ga niv\u00e5 livet ut.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>De problem du beskriver med svullen mage, viktuppg\u00e5ng och slappt skinn runt midjan h\u00e4nger inte riktigt samman med klimakteriet, det vill s\u00e4ga det \u00e4r bekymmer som inte beror p\u00e5 hormonbrist utan mer p\u00e5 \u00e5ldern. Det \u00e4r d\u00e4rf\u00f6r inget man kan behandla med tillskott av \u00f6strogener.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Symptom som helt klart beror p\u00e5 \u00f6strogenerna \u00e4r vallningar, svettningar och torra slemhinnor i underlivet. Dessa besv\u00e4r kan man l\u00e4tt avhj\u00e4lpa med \u00f6strogenbehandling.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Vad betr\u00e4ffar de mer psykiska symptomen som du beskriver med deppighet, gr\u00e5tmild och allm\u00e4n olustk\u00e4nsla r\u00e5der h\u00e4r en viss os\u00e4kerhet om dessa \u00e4r hormonberoende eller inte. I en del vetenskapliga studier ser man god effekt av \u00f6strogenterapi medan man i andra studier inte kan se n\u00e5gon skillnad alls med eller utan behandling.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>M\u00e5r du s\u00e5 d\u00e5ligt att du skulle vilja g\u00f6ra n\u00e5got \u00e5t det tycker jag du ska v\u00e4nda dig till din husl\u00e4kare. Kanske skulle du kunna pr\u00f6va \u00f6strogener under en period och sedan utv\u00e4rdera detta. Kanske \u00e4r det s\u00e5 att du i st\u00e4llet skulle m\u00e5 b\u00e4ttre av annan depressionsbehandling som samtalsterapi eller antidepressiv medicinering.
